Chung-Huang HUANG

Dr. HUANG received his Ph.D. from the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota in 1986, and then started his career at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in Taiwan. Immediately after his early retirement from NTHU in 2010, he joined the Taiwan Research Institute as the Vice President from where he retired in 2017 and then appointed a new position as Senior Consultant. Currently he is the Chief adviser of the ECO Group and the Board Director of the Chuang Xin Green-Life Technology., Ltd.
Dr. HUANG had been influentially engaged in local academic activities as well as international ones. He was the President of the Taiwan Association of Environmental and Resource Economics in 2016, and of the Greater China Financial and Economic Association in 2022. He had actively implemented international research collaboration with several leading institutes abroad and organized well-known international conferences.
Dr. HUANG had been for many years a consultant to several government think-tanks in Taiwan, member of several governmental advisory committees, and Guest Professor in mainland China. In February of 2019, he accepted the offer from National Taipei University as a contract professor at the Institute of Natural Resources Management. As a research consultant and Board Director, he is conducting independent research in such areas as energy economics, climate policies and green jobs.
Dr. HUANG g has been focusing his research interests mainly on environmental and resource economics, cost-benefit analysis, and CGE modeling. He has numerous articles published in American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Applied Economics, etc. Recent works appear on Global Journal of Business Research, The Empirical Economics Letters, and International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, Economics and Policy Studies, etc.
