Ewe Hong TAT

Professor Ewe Hong TAT is the President/CEO of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Malaysia and the President and Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology, and also serves as a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia.
Professor Ewe is a renowned scholar and expert in higher education leadership. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a Ph.D. from Multimedia University.
Professor Ewe’s long-term research focuses on microwave remote sensing, sensor networks, internet technologies, and satellite image processing, with numerous academic publications and contributions to research translation. He has received several prestigious honors, including the URSI Young Scientist Award, the Top Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian Award (Academic Achievement and Leadership), and Toray Science and Technology Award. In addition, Professor Ewe actively participates in the governance of international academic organizations and promotes international scientific and technological cooperation, exerting broad influence in the internationalization of higher education and engineering and technology exchange.
