On June 22, 2026, a pivotal working meeting was held in Islamabad between President Qasim Jan and Executive President Shen Lei of the International Association of Natural Resources (iAONR). The two leaders conducted an in-depth review of the follow-up work and key takeaways from the 2026 International Conference on Natural Resources and Planning in Hong Kong, while also mapping out a comprehensive agenda for the upcoming 2027 conference to be hosted in Kazakhstan.
Discussions centered on a wide range of topics, including thematic frameworks, the invitation of distinguished guest speakers, and the engagement of members and experts across various specialized fields.
