Dear colleagues!
The Institute of Geography of Altai State University invites you to take part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Geographical research of Siberia and the Altai-Sayan transboundary region” in memory of Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor V.S. Revyakin, which will be held at the Institute of Geography of Altai State University on March 26, 2025.
The main topics of discussion are:
- New results of geographical research results in Siberia and the Altai-Sayan Transboundary Region;
- Socio-economic development of territories, landscape planning and land management;
- Modern nature management, ecological and geographical challenges and problems, conservation of natural heritage;
- Recreational geography and tourism;
- Digital geotechnologies for optimizing sustainable development of territories;
- Problems and prospects of transboundary interaction of Russian regions.

WRITING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CONFERENCE PAPERS
GUIDELINES FOR THE PAPER AND FORMATING REQUIREMENTS
The name of the file must comprise the author’s last name and first name (or the author). Sample: IvanovII_text.doc.
The total length of the Conference paper (including text, figures, tables and list of references) should be no more than 20,000 characters with spaces, which is 8 pages of text, and at least 10,000 characters with spaces (which is approximately 4-5 pages of text).
The text should be submitted in MS Word. Sheet format – A4. Margins – 2 cm. Font – Times New Roman. Font size – 12. Justification, single spacing. Paragraph indent – 1.25 cm. Pages are not numbered. The main text can be written in Russian or English. Articles should include the following sections: introduction, research materials and methods, results, and conclusions. Automatic hyphenation and list numbering are not allowed (they must be typed manually).
The title of the article should be typed in capital letters in bold. Section headings are formatted in a uniform style.
Illustrations (pictures, diagrams, graphs, photographs) must be easy to read, their volume should be no more than 1/4 of the article length. Captions to the figures, digital and letter inscriptions in the figure are typed in font size of 10.
Pictures, photographs, scanned images, etc. are submitted as a separate file in the “.JPG” format. Resolution is not less than 300 dpi.
All references within the text are formatted in a uniform style, with the page number of the citation source indicated (if possible). All citations and borrowings in the text are made out using square brackets with the number of the source: [1] – for one work; [3; 5; 7-10] – for several works.

3. Abstract.
4. Key words.
5. Text of the article.
6. References (list of references in alphabetical order).
7. Information about the author(s): Last name, first name (in full), academic degree, title, position, affiliation, postal address (work) with postal code, e-mail of the author(s).
